C&K Systems is a Radiant CounterPoint Elite Business Partner and is currently celebrating 19 years in operation. We are one of the Premier Retail Systems Integrators in the Nation, specializing in Apparel, Gift and Museum Store automation.
During these past 17 years, C&K has grown to be the largest CounterPoint dealer in the mid-Atlantic. And we are still growing - We now have well over 150 customers in locations throughout the country. To better serve our customers, we have sales and support offices in VA, VT, KS, SC and FL. Our corporate offices are located in Chesapeake, VA
We have also expanded our product and services offerings. In addition to the core Point-of-Sale System, CounterPoint, C&K offers E-Commerce, Managed Services, Open-To-Buy and Microsoft Dynamics GP. All of these products integrate together to help our customers' daily operations run more efficiently. Kevin Bowden, President & CEO
Kevin has been in the information technology industry for 30 years. His career started as a programmer developing accounting software for Professional Software Consultants, which was later acquired by CCH Computax. In 1989, Kevin incorporated C&K Systems, Inc. Since then, Kevin has installed full turnkey networks, created custom applications, and installed/ trained over 500 businesses in the use of accounting, distribution and retail applications. His ongoing goal is to provide "Partners for Life" with the retail solutions they need for successful business ventures.
Barbara Devaney, Executive Vice President/CFO
Barbara was previously the Director of Finance for First Colony Coffee and Tea and was nominated as CFO of the Year by the Society of CPAs in 2006. Barbara brings 20 years experience in IT, finance, accounting and executive management to C&K Systems. As Executive VP, Barbara also manages our Financial Applications Department and supervises all aspects of C&K Systems' Service and Support Team.
Tim Simons, Vice President Sales
Tim has over 20 years professional sales experience, both in retail and outside sales. Joining C & K Systems in 1999, Tim quickly adapted his retail training and professional sales experience to lead the charge as C & K Systems grow from a regional systems integrator to a national solutions provider. In April 2006, Tim was promoted to Vice President of Sales. As VP of Sales, Tim’s responsible for assisting prospects with identifying their needs and properly recommending a solution.
Elena Beach, Sales Account Manager South Carolina - Georgia
Elena came to C&K in June 2007 with a diverse background, including sales in the healthcare industry, marketing for a large assisted living community and teaching elementary education. These experiences of dealing with the public in such a wide range of areas have helped to shape her skill set. Her love for people is what drives her to provide the best solutions to fulfill her clients’ needs and provide them with the key that is going to help their business move to the next level.
Jamie Murphy, Project Manager - New Business
Jamie has over 30 years IT experience, including nearly 15 with Counterpoint systems.
Jeanne Quirke, Training Director
Jeanne was previously a Corporate Trainer in the insurance and investment industry. Jeanne brings 15 years experience in sales, training and public speaking to C&K Systems. As Training Director, she is responsible for developing the education program.
Sterling Wallace, Implementation Coordinator
Sterling has 12 years experience with C&K Systems. He began by working part-time for C&K and in July 1997, Sterling came to C&K full-time. He is CounterPoint SQL Certified and currently specializes in CounterPoint Version 7. As Systems Engineer, his responsibilities include customization, trouble shooting, and systems integration.
Sean Merritt, Systems Engineer
Sean has 7 years experience in the computer technology industry. He has been working with C&K Systems for 6 years. Sean is A+, CounterPoint SQL, and Epson Printer Certified and currently specializes in CounterPoint SQL Version 8. As Systems Engineer, his responsibilities include developing Crystal reports, trouble shooting and customizations.
Tom Pires, Director Of Customer Service
Tom has 8 years experience as a Network Engineer and is A+, N+, MCSE 2000 and CCNA Certified. After relocating to Chesapeake in 2004, Tom began working with C&K Systems. As Senior Engineer, Tom is the Lead Technical Liaison and Network Consultant.
Todd Paine, Account Manage
Joining C&K Feb 1, 2008 Todd brings almost 9 years experience working with CounterPoint users. Owning his own businesses both Retail and Hospitality he brings more than 17 years of customer service experiences as well. Todd has been brought on to help ensure all C&K’s customers receive the service they require, and to advise and assist our customers with any future growth.
Dana Womack, Customer Support
Dana has 10 years professional experience in the computer/technology services industry. 6 of those years have been with C&K Systems. Dana is CounterPoint SQL and HP Printer Certified. She is responsible for supporting our customers’ CounterPoint systems and providing technical and customer support.
Mike Womack, Customer Support
Mike has over 15 years professional experience in the computer technology industry. A 20 year Navy veteran, Mike is Counterpoint SQl Certified and has installed and configured numerous software and security packages. As Systems Engineer, he is responsible for providing technical support for Counterpoint SQL, Counterpoint V7, multiple Windows operating systems and networking .
Mike Sparmo, Software Engineer/Programmer
Mike has 6 years experience in computer programming. As C&K's Software Engineer, Mike is responsible for customizing programs, writing and maintaining our E-Commerce product, and data migration.
John Walker, Ecommerce Developer
John has 6 years experience in programming, web development, and graphic design. He works with Photoshop, HTML/CSS, Javascript, SQL, classic ASP, ASP.NET, C#, and perl. As Ecommerce Developer, he is responsible for ecommerce website design, implementation, and customization.
Claudia Bowden, Accounts Payable Manager
Claudia is one of the founding partners of C&K Systems and has over 16 years experience. As AP Manager, she is responsible for managing C&K’s accounts.
Ann Housand, Accounting
Ann has 15 years experience in accounting and bookkeeping. She has been with C&K Systems for 4 years. As , Ann is responsible for billing, accounts receivable and managing customer accounts.
