Roles & Responsibilities

  • Hands-on software development of assigned modules / subsystems.
  • Contribute to design of overall software system architecture.
  • Deliver source code for one or more features as part of overall release plan.
  • Work closely with team of developers to implement & integrate product features.
  • Must be a hands-on developer comfortable working in Agile development process.
  • Participate and provide guidance during code reviews, software integration, bug fixes.
  • Be a champion of building and deploying state of the art solutions in a TEAM environment.

Essential Skills Needed

EDUCATION:
Minimum Associates Degree in Networking /Computer Technologies/Computer Information Systems from a two year college or technical school.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 4-6 years of hands-on development experience with software applications and solutions.
  • Good understanding of building analytics solutions.
  • Strong development skills in backend stack of SOA / MVC architectures.
  • Hands-on development skills in one or more OO programming languages ( Python, Java, C++,etc).
  • Knowledge of implementing solutions from data ingest, data normalization, data enrichment, data processing, data correlation, data presentation, etc.

Other Desired Skills / Knowledge

Implementation & integration experience in :
  • various data base technologies : SQL, NoSQL, In-Memory, Graph.
  • one or more messaging technologies : RMQ, Kafka, XMPP, etc.
  • one or more web services frameworks , REST API, etc.
  • Dev-env tools proficiency : Git, Jenkins, Rally, JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
  • Familiarity with Cloud / Networking technologies helpful.
  • TEAM player and strong leadership skills.
  • Effective communicator within and across teams.
